Converted from a traditional Devon Roundhouse (threshing barn), the Gallery is octagonal in shape, with a mix of old stone and white painted walls. The floor is tiled in grey slate. A massive tree trunk, used to turn the threshing wheels, acts as the main roof support beam. Careful consideration has been given to both lighting and general flexibility, so the space can be used to display both art and craft to maximum effect. The Gallery is available for private exhibitions and functions (art or craft based only) but otherwise, all studio holders are encouraged to display their work and invite customers and clients to visit. The Gallery hosts an annual Summer and Christmas Open Studio, showcasing and selling the work of the studio occupiers.
THE GALLERY IS NOW OPEN AGAIN, BUT STRICT COVID 19 PROTOCOL NEEDS TO BE FOLLOWED. Please wear a mask in the Gallery, and use the hand sanitisers before picking up or touching any item. Only 4 people are allowed in the Gallery at any one time.
