Pottery Lessons with Pete

EVENING THROWING WORKSHOPS AT KIGBEARE STUDIOS:  After a very successful first term, the next term will be starting on the 23rd and 24th January 2018,.  Wednesday classes are fully subscribed, so if you would like to reserve a place on the Tuesday programme, (one space left), please get in touch now.

The workshops are held in the large Pottery Barn, set within the beautiful grounds of Kigbeare Manor Farm, on the edge of Dartmoor.

The pottery has excellent facilities, tools and materials and the workshops are designed to be focussed but relaxed.  The classes are limited to a maximum of  8 students to ensure everyone gets one-to-one attention, and each student has a dedicated workstation with unlimited access to clay.

Course Fee: £200 for 10 3-hour workshops sessions

Pete Montgomery is running two 10-week evening pottery throwing workshops from 6pm to 9pm for beginners and intermediates.  He will cover the range of throwing techniques used to make cylinders and bowls, including clay preparation, turning, handles and glazing.

Pete aims to send you home, at the end of the 10 weeks, with mugs, jugs and bowls you can be proud of, and the last two sessions will include glazing and firing your work.
